PDFSwift is designed around a browser-first approach to document processing.

Local document processing

Many PDFSwift tools process files directly in your browser using client-side JavaScript libraries. For these tools, the selected document is not intentionally uploaded to a PDFSwift file-processing server.

AI features

AI tools may send the text you submit to the AI service used by PDFSwift so the requested response can be generated. Do not submit confidential information unless you are comfortable with that processing. Each AI tool should be treated as a separate service workflow from the local PDF tools.

Third-party libraries

Some tools load libraries from third-party content delivery networks. Your browser may make network requests to those providers to retrieve the required code.

Cookies and advertising

PDFSwift may display Google AdSense advertisements. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads based on visits to this and other sites. See Google advertising policies and our Cookie Policy. Non-essential advertising technologies should be used only in accordance with applicable consent requirements.

Data minimization

PDFSwift does not need an account for its core tools. We aim to collect only information necessary to operate, secure and improve the service.

Deleting your data

PDFSwift has no user accounts. What is stored, for how long, and how to delete it or send a deletion request is explained on the Delete Your Data page.
